The majority of people approve that the police dissolved the permanent demonstration on Kossuth tér and other non-announced demonstrations on October 23.

According to a survey prepared by opinion poll firms Szonda-Ipsos and Medián, the majority of people approve that the police dissolved the permanent demonstration on Kossuth tér and other non-announced demonstrations on October 23. Szonda found that 54% of the people think the police acted correctly and 6% expected even harder behavior, while 31% think the police was too brutal. Medián found that 43% of people liked the police’s determined way of acting and 7% expected more than that, while 38% said they were too aggressive. Interestingly, 41% said the police provoked demonstrators, but 38% saw this the other way round. (Magyar Hírlap)
