M0 motorway to catch up with deadline

Tourism

Work on a section of the M0 ring motorway, earlier suspended due to delays in environmental licensing may continue before the end of the month, the Chairman-CEO of National Motorway Company (NA Zrt) told MTI on Friday.

Kálmán Remenyik said it was likely that the deadline of November 30, 2007 for the full 26 kilometer project of the M0's eastern section could still be met and the company will not lose the €284 million in EU funding after all. National daily Népszabadság reported in mid-October that work on an 8.5 kilometer section of the project was halted due to the transport supervision authority's withdrawal of the building permit due to discrepancies. Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
