KSH: Mobile phone subscriptions in Hungary up 1.2% in Q1

The number of mobile phone subscriptions in Hungary increased by 1.2% to 11.8 mln in the first quarter of 2015, as compared to a year earlier, data published by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) show. 

The number of contract (post-paid) subscriptions increased 4.3% surpassing 6.5 million by the end of March. The number of pre-paid subscriptions decreased by 123,000 and the share of these subscriptions within the total was down by 1.6 percentage points. The number of landlines was up 2.8%, reaching 3 million during the above period.
