Increasing number of Ukrainians travel to Hungary
Hungary has granted 40% more visas to Ukrainian citizens so far in 2013 than it did during the same period in 2012, the National Economy Ministry told MTI on Friday. National Economy Ministry Deputy State Secretary Viktória Horváth said at the second meeting of the Hungarian-Ukrainian Tourism Working Group in Kiev on Thursday that 136,000 visitors from Ukraine spent 234,000 guest nights at hotels and other accommodations in Hungary last year, up 16% year-on-year (yr/yr) and 19% yr/yr, respectively. The National Economy Ministry deputy state secretary in charge of tourism noted that Ukraine has become the 15th highest country of origin of visitors to Hungary.
