Hungary to allow travel by vaccinated Russian tourists

Tourism

Hungary will allow Russian tourists who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus into the country from Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a message posted on Facebook on Monday.

Szijjártó said the measure was decided on the principle of reciprocity, noting that Russia's government decided a few weeks earlier to start issuing visas to Hungarians for business and recreational travel on the condition they produce a negative PCR test.

At present, only Russian business travelers are allowed into Hungary.
