Hungary freight deliveries down 0.9% in ton kilometers in Q2

The number of freight-ton kilometers, at 12.641 billion, fell 0.9% in the second quarter of 2011 after a 6.6% rise in the first quarter. Freight-ton kilometers rose 0.8% in 2010.

Hungarian companies carried 67.173 million tons of goods in Q2 2011, down 7.4% from the same period of 2011. Freight deliveries measured in tons rose 0.9% yr/yr in Q1 2011 after falling 7.6% in 2010.

Domestic deliveries fell 11.8% in Q2 2011 to 44.408 million tons after dropping 3.3% in Q1 after dropping 14.3% in 2010. International deliveries were up 2.6% in Q2 2011 at 22.764 million tons after rising 7.7% in Q1 2011 and 11% in the full year of 2010.
