Guest nights at commercial accommodations flat in September
The number of guest nights at commercial accommodations in Hungary reached 1,779,000 in September, level with the same month a year earlier, but gross revenue climbed 3.4% to HUF 24.5bn, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.
The number of rooms at commercial accommodations in Hungary climbed 8.2% to 105,286 during the period. Of these, 52,572 were hotel rooms.
The number of guest nights spent at hotels increased 2.8% to 1,413,000. Gross revenue of hotels rose 5.6% to HUF 22.2bn. The occupancy rate at hotels averaged 53.6% during the period.
The number of guest nights at commercial accommodations in January-September came to 15,567,000, down 1.8% from the same period a year earlier. Gross revenue was up 2.0% at HUF 185.6bn.
