Forint weakens on interbank market
The forint weakened on Wednesday morning's interbank market, trading at 287.52 to the euro at 10:00 a.m., compared to a Tuesday-afternoon rate of 285.60.
Dealers attribute the forint's weakening to a rise in risk-aversion stemming from a continuing lack of detail with regard to the euro-zone debt-bailout fund.
The forint also weakened to the Swiss franc and the US dollar on Wednesday, trading at 235.61 to the CHF and 211.10 to the USD at around 10:00 a.m., compared to Tuesday-evening rates of 234.38 and 209.68, respectively.
