Forint weakens ahead of Fed decision

The forint traded at 317.51 to the euro around 5:30 in the evening on Wednesday, weakening from 316.06 late Tuesday, hours before the announcement of a policy decision by the United States Federal Reserve.
The Fed is widely expected to raise the cost of short-term borrowing for the first time in nearly a decade.
The forint softened to 290.05 from 289.28 against the dollar. It slipped to 294.41 from 292.15 against the Swiss franc.
