First estimate puts Hungary GDP growth at 2.7% for Q4 2013

Today’s flash estimate from the Central Statistics Office (KSH) runs as follows: On the basis of the preliminary estimation of HCSO, the gross domestic product of Hungary increased by 2.7% in the fourth quarter of 2013 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
KSH attributed the increase as mainly due to the increasing performance of agriculture, manufacturing and construction.
According to seasonally and calendar effects adjusted data, the gross domestic product increased by 0.6% quarter-on-quarter.
