Fewer patents filed in Hungary

Some 701 patents were filed in Hungary last year, down from 743 in 2012, the head of the National Office of Intellectual Rights (SZTNH) said in today's issue of Hungarian business daily Napi Gazdaság.
Last year there were 641 domestic patents and 60 foreign patents filed with the office, Miklós Bendzsel revealed. The number of patents filed is expected to fall further this year as activity by individual inventors tapers, he added.
