Fall Bookings up 40% From Pre-COVID Levels

Fall bookings at commercial accommodation in Hungary are up close to 40% from 2019, before the pandemic, according to an analysis by bookings site szallas.hu.

Fall bookings are 3.5% higher than a year earlier, szallas.hu said.

Room rates average close to HUF 11,200 per night, 10% dearer than a year earlier and almost 30% more expensive than in 2019.

The most popular fall destinations are Eger (130 km northeast of Budapest), Gyula (215 km southeast), Budapest, Hajdúszoboszló (205 km east) and Pécs (195 km southwest), booking numbers suggest.
