EasyJet to launch Budapest-Lyon flight

British low-fare airline easyJet is launching a direct flight between Budapest and France’s Lyon airport as of April 26, Budapest Airport, the operator of the capital’s Liszt Ferenc Airport, announced today in a press release.

The new route is expected to put the two cities just two hours apart, the company said. According to the statement, easyJet will operate three flights per week between the two cities.

The U.K.-based company operates a total of over 700 routes in 32 countries, employing nearly 11,000 people throughout Europe but mainly in the United Kingdom.
