CAF completes first Budapest tram
Spanish CAF completed the construction of the first tram destined for Budapest's lines 1 and 3, the Center for Budapest Transport (BKK) reported on its official website today. The fleet of 47 trams is being produced in Zaragoza, Beasain and Basque Country.
BKK experts have begun inspections on the tram in Spain and if the inspections go as planned, the first tram is scheduled to arrive in March for trial operation on the Budapest lines, prior to their official deployment this fall.
