Hungarian baths generated revenue of just HUF 35 bln in the first half of the year, HUF 5 bln less than expected, possibly due to poor weather at the end of the summer season, Hungarian business daily Világgazdaság reported today.

Both visitor numbers and revenue were down by a respective 10% and 3% at smaller outdoor baths, according to the paper, while both visitor numbers and revenue climbed for bigger indoor baths by 4% and 8%, respectively.

Last year, bath operators generated revenue of HUF 38.5bn, including HUF 22.3bn from bath services.
