ATM machine usage down

Banking costs increased by 55% in the last 18 months, data provided by KSH revealed. Apparently as a consequence, 290,000 private accounts were closed, according to a report by Hungarian business online daily hgv.hu.
Additionally, after years of steady increase in the number of Hungarian bank branches accepting bankcards, this number fell by 153 within the last year. The number of ATM machines in regional cities also decreased by ten during the same period.
