Sziget festival donates tents to refugees

Sights

As many Sziget festival-goers leave their tents behind once the event has ended, these tents will be collected by organizers and donated to refugees in Hungary, online daily 444.hu reported on Saturday.

An LED display which read “Camp Aid for Refugees” said that “many children and adults” are forced to “sleep in parks and in the streets” as they are not provided with “temporary dwellings”.

As festival-goers frequently choose not to take their camping accessories with them once the festival ends, the organizers have ask campers to donate these to refugees, by handing them to the camping staff on site.
