A consortium of Swietelsky Magyarorszag, Modinvest and Bekes-Dren has won a tender to expand the city of Gyula’s spa and water park with a bid of HUF 2.03bn, mayor Erno Gorgenyi said on Wednesday.
The expansion is expected to be completed by May 2013, Mr Gorgenyi said.
Spa director Laszlo Boros said the investment was expected to raise the annual number of visitors by 100,000-120,000 from about 500,000 at present.
