Suspension of contracts by state firms prolonged

A suspension of contracting by state-owned companies will not be lifted for at least another month, until an audit started in the summer is completed, Hugarian business daily Napi Gazdaság said on Thursday.
The suspension of all contracts that are not necessary for daily operations will remain in place while all the companies are audited – and the management of some of them is restructured – the paper learnt from the economy and development ministries. The suspension was introduced on July 1 and was expected to remain in place until the audit wound up at the end of summer.
