Romania plans to block solar installations on arable land, report
Romania’s Agriculture Minister Daniel Constantin said on Monday that authorities are currently working on a bill that would block the development of photovoltaic (PV) parks on arable land, local sites reported. The minister didn’t put a figure on the size of arable land impacted by renewable projects but said the legislation will be changed. “It’s a matter of days until the legislation will be changed and the set up of solar panels on arable land will not be allowed any more,” said Constantin, quoted by Agerpres newswire.
