Preparations for Hankook's arrival in full swing
Representatives of Hankook and the Dunaújváros local council signed a cooperation agreement late on Tuesday, but there are still debates in the local council whether the factory should be built north or south of the town. Still, the local council has already opened a dedicated administration desk for the acquisition of licences for the construction and mayor András Kálmán has received full authority to make decisions in licensing matters, Világgazdaság said. However, the licences are not expected to come in force before March next year, which means the plans to start construction work in January
are probably overly optimistic, the paper said.
The Hankook factory will employ 1,500 workers at the start, operating in three shifts, mayor of Dunaújváros, András Kálmán said.
