István Töröcskei tipped for ÁKK post - Privátbankár

István Töröcskei, a bank owner who is among Hungary's hundred richest men, could become the next head of the Government Debt Management Agency (ÁKK), website Privátbankár said late Friday, citing unnamed market sources.
Töröcskei confirmed he had been asked to fill the post when asked by internet portal Origo.hu, but said the appointment had not taken place.
Origo.hu learnt Töröcskei would take over at ÁKK from November 1.
Local papers reported earlier that Gyula Pleschinger, ÁKK's current CEO, would replace National Economy Ministry state secretary Andras Karman who will take over Hungary's deputy director post on the board of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) from December 1.
