Hungary: ProLogis to develop industrial space for UTi
Logistics company ProLogis announced in a press release that it will develop 20,600 square meters of industrial space in Budapest, Hungary, to UTi Logistics, one of the region’s leading providers of third-party logistic services.
UTi Hungary’s new build-to-suit facility will be located at ProLogis Park Budapest-Sziget, a 170,700-square-meter distribution park being developed 17 kilometers south of the Budapest city center. UTi, which currently leases space from ProLogis in both Europe and the United States, will operate the facility as a regional distribution center for one of its clients.
ProLogis Park Budapest-Sziget currently consists of five buildings totaling 80,800 square meters of space. The site is connected to the national and international traffic network by the M0 motorway on the southern boundary of the city, providing fast and efficient access to the international airport, M1, M7 and M5 motorways. At full build-out, ProLogis Park Budapest-Sziget will comprise ten buildings totaling over 170,700 square meters. Other customers at the park include Schneider Electric, NCR, Filtrona, Quadrant, Transped, Rhenus Archico and KS Spedition. (press release)
