Hungary govt sees family farms as building blocks for quality ag sector

Hungary's government aims to establish an agriculture sector that is based on alliances of quality small- and medium-sized family farms, state secretary József Ángyán said.
József Ángyán said Hungarians live in a "robbed country that has lost both domestic and export markets for farm products". Producing high quality, healthy and safe food requires quality farming that can sustain the countryside and provide a living for many people, he added at the Debrecen Farmer Expo which runs until Sunday.
