Govt to limit size of new commercial buildings

The government has adopted a general construction ban on commercial buildings with an area bigger than 300sqms to take effect from January next year, government spokesman András Giró-Szász said on Thursday.
Giró-Szász said exemptions from the ban can be issued by the national economy minister based on proposals by a committee established by the ministers responsible for rural development, environment protection, and trade.
The ban will remain effective until December 31, 2014.
