Govt bill would award local councils, church more properties
Hungary's government has drafted legislation that would transfer more state-owned property, free of charge, to local councils and the Catholic Church, the National Development Ministry said on Friday. The bill would award 1,174 properties worth more than HUF 1.2 billion to 19 local councils. It would also transfer several churches to the Roman Catholic Church.
