Forint weakens vs Swiss franc, strengthens to euro and dollar

The forint weakened to the Swiss franc on Wednesday morning's interbank market, trading at 264.10 to the Swiss franc at 10:15 a.m., compared to a rate of 261.05 at around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The forint strengthened to the euro and the US dollar on Wednesday morning, trading at 274.50 to the euro and 191.00 to the dollar at 10:15 a.m., compared to rates of 275.09 and 192.73, respectively, at around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Dealers say they expect Wednesday interbank trade to be calmer than it has been over recent days, adding that the forint is unlikely to return to all-time weakest rates against the Swiss franc reached on Tuesday.
