Corso Invest builds commerce center in Pécs, Hungary
Spanish-Austrian real estate developer, Corso Invest Kft is to launch one of the largest private-funded investments initiated upon Pécs being named the 2010 European Capital of Culture, city officials said.
The Ft 10 billion budget (about $57 million) will cover building a 48,000 square meter multifunctional complex, to be completed by 2009. Corso Invest will raise the necessary funding partly from its own resources combined with loans. In another cultural project in Pécs, the municipality has published the design tenders for the Zsolnay cultural district of the city, said deputy mayor Tibor Gonda. The quarter will house 21 buildings serving diverse purposes, for an overall budget of Ft 10.9 billion, he said. (Napi Gazdaság)
