Ásotthalom mayor plans anti-refugee conference
The mayor of Ásotthalom, László Toroczkai, is organizing a conference for people from all over Europe who are opposed to migration of asylum seekers. In a video subtitled in English, the mayor claims that most EU leaders have done nothing to stop migration and implores: “We have to defend the whole continent!”

The conference, called the I. Custodela Reunion is for “all those people from all over Europe who are ready to ally and act together for Europe and to organize themselves by following the guidance and instructions of the Custodela-plan”, the eventʼs official Facebook page states.
The announcement on the page says that “we are calling and waiting for the active Europeans”, to the town of “Ásotthalom, Hungary – where illegal migration was stopped”.
The mayor also posted a video with English subtitles, praising the effectiveness of the Hungarian fence on the Serbian border in stopping refugees trying to enter the European Union via Hungary, and calling representative of other countries to come to Ásotthalom on December 19-20 for the reunion, and learn about how to protect their country and the EU.
Blaming the European Union for failing to take action, the mayor says in the video that there were “almost 100,000 migrants, more than 80% of whom were young men. The leaders of the European Union did nothing to protect their border, and that’s why we had to start taking action on our own.”
The mayor notes that in “the past months we managed to stop the invasion. Now Ásotthalom is once again a land of peace and order, one of the safest towns in Europe”.
In the video Toroczkai says that “the problem has not ceased to exist, because the leaders of the European Union don’t want to follow our example. The number of illegal migrants who are entering Europe without being checked or controlled is increasing, only they avoid Hungary now. Their direction may turn any time”.
The mayor justified the need for cooperation by saying “if Europe perishes we will perish too. We have to defend the whole continent!”
Toroczkai closed his speech by saying that “I am inviting all active Europeans to Ásotthalom on the 19th and 20th of December 2015 for a meeting where we will introduce our functioning border protection. We will establish an international information network that will open the eyes of millions of Europeans. If we remain silent, we will become victims. If we stand up and take action, we will win!”
