Amendment would prohibit turning off heat at hospitals, schools
An amendment submitted to Parliament by the Economy and IT Committee on Monday would prohibit energy utilities from being turned off at healthcare institutions, boarding schools and primary schools during the heating seasons.
The prohibition would be in place between October 15 and April 15 of the following year, regardless of any outstanding bills the institutions have with service providers.
