Hungary’s Lotus Therme Hotel and Spa, which is the only five-star hotel in Héviz, the western Hungarian town near Lake Balaton, has been purchased by the Russian-owned AEG Ingatlanhasznosító from CIB Bank, the Hungarian subsidiary of Italian San Paolo, hotel manager Erzsébet Pusztai told Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday, May 8.

The manager did not disclose the purchase price, she did, however, note that the new proprietor had expressed a commitment to take over and carry out previously launched investments. Accent Hotel Management will continue to manage the 232-room hotel, she added.
