Inn owner in Szentendre spends HUF 400 mln to upgrade, expand

A bed-and-breakfast owner in Szentendre, a picturesque town near the capital that is popular with tourists, has converted his second-class accommodations into a four-star hotel with a HUF 400 million investment. Attila Hadnagy converted and expanded his 16-room bed-and-breakfast into a 22-room hotel, complete with restaurant, cafe and a terrace. One-fourth of the investment was covered by European Union and state grant money. Guest nights at the Bükkös Hotel are expected to reach an annual 2,700.
