Police issue warrant for man who robbed a Citibank in Budapest

The Hungarian police issued a warrant for a man who robbed the Oktogon branch of CitiBank around 10 AM this morning, the police said on its official website today.

The police posted the picture above online, asking anyone who recognizes the man to contact the authorities.

According to the police report, the man ordered a bank employee to hand over the daysʼ turnover, and aimed a weapon or replica of a weapon at the employee. Once the man received the money, he ran away from the branch. No one was injured during the robbery. 

Citibank spokesperson Éva Hencz told Hungarian news agency MTI that the bank is cooperating with the police regarding the incident.
