Spanish airline Iberia is scheduled to relaunch its direct flights between Budapest and Madrid as of June, operating three flights a week and raising that to four as of July, Hungarian state owned tourism agency Magyar Turizmus said today, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

Iberia said the relaunch was motivated by strong demand for the route last summer. The airline is planning to operate the route in the summer season, MTI said.

Magyar Turizmus has been in talks with Iberia officials to establish daily direct flights for the 2017 summer season, Tamás Glázer, Magyar Turizmus deputy-CEO said, according to MTI.
