Tobacco company Continental revenue climbs to HUF 20 bln in 2010

Hungarian tobacco company Continental Dohányipari Csoport had consolidated revenue of about HUF 20 billion in 2010, CEO Csaba Fűzi said.
Continental's plant in Sátoraljaújhely (NE Hungary), the only Hungarian-owned tobacco factory in the country, generated revenue of more than HUF 13 billion last year, Fuzi said.
The factory employs about 250 people. Half of the factory's revenue comes from exports.
Continental has seen its annual revenue rise about 5% over the past years, in spite of the crisis, said chairman János Sánta.
Continental controls about 6% of Hungary's tobacco market.
