Survey: Most Hungarians watch series on traditional TV sets

The majority of Hungarians who watch television series prefer to do so when they are aired on television, while substantially less take advantage of the technology provided by IPTVs to watch series after they are aired, according to an online survey conducted by Invitel through the participation of 5,000 respondents.
Some 63% of respondents said they prefer to watch television series on TV while they are being broadcast, while 37% of respondents said they watch TV series after airing with the help of the recording function on their IPTVs, Invitel said. More than half of Hungarian households have HD television sets, yet the subscription for HD television services lags significantly behind these numbers, Invitel said.
The most popular television series originate from the United States, and respondents on average said they follow the events of 2-4 television series simultaneously.
