Research: Hungarian employees prefer centrally located modern offices

Based on a research conducted by HB Reavis Real Estate company, Hungarian employees prefer closed-plan offices, despite the fact that many of the respondents surveyed work in open-plan offices, the real estate company announced today.
The research revealed that 81% of respondents, if given the opportunity, would choose to work in enclosed offices, however, 55% of them currently occupy open-plan offices.
"The main consequence of the research is that many people had a negative experience with open-plan offices," said Mariann TĂłth leasing manager at HB Reavis. According to TĂłth, the open-plan offices are better adapted to the habits of todayĘĽs employees.
Additional researched revealed that, 30% of respondents said they would prefer environmental-friendly offices, while two-thirds of the female respondents feel that an environmental-friendly office is more attractive. Furthermore, 82% of Hungarian employees said they prefer centrally located modern offices.
The research compiled by HB Reavis Real Estate company was based on interviews conducted with 1,100 employees between the ages of 20 and 50.
