October trade deficit €292 mln, down €16 mln yr/yr

Hungary's trade deficit in October was €16 million lower year-on-year at €292 million but was up from €157 million in September, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Friday. The deficit in the first ten months was €2.394 billion, down €1.143 billion from the same period of 2004. October exports rose 7.3% year-on-year to €4.473 billion while imports were up 6.5% at €4.765 billion. January-October exports increased 10.7% year-on-year to €40.484 billion while imports rose 6.9% to €€42.878 billion.
