Hungarian food delivery business NetPincer will rebrand as Foodpanda from the end of September, leading business daily Világgazdaság said reports.

NetPincér parent Delivery Hero aims to unify its brands in Europe and is switching over to the Foodpanda brand in Hungary after making the change in Germany.

NetPincér, which translates into English as "net waiter," has operated in Hungary since 1999. It became a member of the Delivery Hero group in 2016. It has partnerships with almost 6,000 restaurants and over 4,300 contracted delivery staff.

"Foodpanda will grow and expand in Hungary: we plan to create several hundred new jobs and want to ensure work for several thousand new delivery partners with several billion forints of investments already underway," Delivery Hero Hungary managing director Zoltán Patai told the paper.
