KSH: Hungary’s retail sales up 4.8% in November

The volume of retail sales in Hungary saw a year-on-year increase of 4.8% in November 2015, according to raw data and was up by 4.4% adjusted for calendar effects, Hungary’s Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported yesterday in a first release of data.

According to KSH data, the volume of sales adjusted for calendar effects rose by 2.5% in food, drinks and tobacco stores, by 6.9% in non-food retail trade and by 4.7% in automotive fuel retailing.

During the period of January to November 2015, the volume of sales – also based on calendar-adjusted data – increased by 5.7% as compared to the same period of the previous year, KSH noted.
