KSH: Employment up to 68%

In July-September 2014, the number of employed people in Hungary aged 15-64 rose to 62.8%, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported today. The total number of employed people reached 4,182 thousand, which is 4.8% more than in the same period last year.

Of the employed people, 4,151 fell into the 15–64 age range. Their employment rate was 62.8%, an increase of 3.6% compared to the previous year.

The employment rate of people in the ‘ideal working age’ category of 25–54 years, increased by 3.3%, reaching 79.6%.
