Hungarians buy HUF 196bn worth of bread, bakery products in 2010

Hungarians bought HUF 196bn of bread and other bakery products last year, a gauge of household purchases by market researcher GfK Hungária shows.
Hungarians each consumed 50kg of bread on average last year, according to the data. They also consumed 60 croissants and 150 rolls on average.
About 58% of Hungarians over the age of 15 eat white bread on a daily basis. Two-thirds eat croissants or rolls several times a week.
