Hungarian-operated thermal baths revenues up 12.5%

Hungarian companies operating thermal baths in the country saw an overall revenue of HUF 58.5 billion in 2015, a rise of 12.5% as compared to the preceding year, the Hungarian Spa Association said yesterday based on an analysis it conducted, according to reports.

Revenue from spa services came to HUF 31.1 bln, the association said in a summary sent to Hungarian news agency MTI. Prices on average were up by 5.1% last year as compared to the previous year, MTI added.
The survey included 84 baths in Hungary, accounting for two-thirds of all baths of touristic value in the country according to the association.
Hungaryʼs thermal baths had more than 40 million visitors last year, up 7% on average from 2014, MTI noted.
