Glencore International starts building Ft 5 bln seed oil press in Hungary

Switzerland’s Glencore International laid the cornerstone of a Ft 5 billion (€20 million, $31 million) seed oil press in the Hungarian village of Foktő on Thursday.
The press, with capacity to turn out 240,000 tons of oil a year from 600,000 tons of seed, will be completed in the first half of 2009. Most of output will go to the food industry, though some will be used for biofuel. (MTI-Econews)
