Ganz Transelektro wins €3.8 mln order from Dubai
contracts worth a combined €5.1 million Thursday to supply transformers to Dubai, the company announced. GTV will supply nine 50 MVA transformers for €3.8 million under one contract, and three 50MVA transformers worth €1.3 million under the other. GTV will partner with a local contractor for the first contract and with DANWAY for the second. GTV will deliver the transformers in July and August 2006. The order, GTV's first from Dubai in 15 years, accounts for 30% of the country's annual spending on big transformers. At the end of September, GTV won a Ft 3.4 billion order from another country in the region, Bahrein, and expects to win an order soon to supply 16 transformers to Kuwait.
