Farm gate prices up 8.7% yr/yr in April

Farm gate prices in Hungary rose 8.7% in April from the same month a year earlier, with crop prices increasing 15% and livestock and animal product prices up 2%, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Wednesday.
In the first four months farm gate prices rose 6.3% year on year, with crop prices rising 13% and livestock and animal product prices dropping 0.2%. KSH publishes only quarterly figures on agricultural input prices.
Farm gate prices rose 0.7% in 2005, with crop prices down 0.6% and livestock and live animal and animal product prices up 1.8%.
