Cornexi Food sees revenue rising to HUF 1 bln in 2016

Hungarian-owned muesli bar and oatmeal maker Cornexi Food has targeted revenue of HUF 1 billion this year, up from HUF 800 million in 2015, the company told Hungarian news agency MTI today.

Cornexi Food is looking to boost turnover with a more active sales strategy and the introduction of a product family that contains no added sugar.
Cornexi Food plans to make about 40 tons of the new product this year, adding HUF 70 mln to its revenue, said sales and marketing director Bernadett Buday.
Last year, the company spent more than HUF 600 mln to move production from Enying, close to Lake Balaton, to a 10,000 sqm base in nearby Szekesfehérvár.
