Chocolate bunny sales jumped roughly 12% last year
Sales of Easter-themed sweets jumped by 12% to HUF 4 bln, which represents a 6% increase in volume, up to 940 tons, according to data compiled by Nielsen market research company and published yesterday.
Chocolate bunnies accounted for 41% of sales and chocolate eggs made up 39%, Nielsen’s data suggests. Almost half of the sweets were sold in hypermarkets.
