AKE creates regional center in Szombathely, Hungary

Germany’s Albert Knebel (AKE) Holding GmbH, one of the largest wood industry machine and tool makers in the world, will not only carry out developments and capacity expansion in its Hungarian subsidiary AKEHungária Tool Maker and Dealer Kft, but also makes it the CEE regional center of the holding, AKEHungária confirmed daily NAPI Gazdaság information.
In fact, Albert Knebel Holding GmbH is to enable AKEHungária to do all the activities of the group serving its CEE partners from Szombathely, AKEHungária’s HQ. AKE founded AKEHungária in 1990 and in 2000 built a new production base through a green field investment and has spent hundreds of millions of forints on development since then. At the same time there were more and more, mainly labor-intensive products whose production was shifted to the Hungarian subsidiary. AKEHungária expects a growth of sales in the range of Ft 100 million ($547000) this year. (Napi Gazdaság)
