The Juhász Brothers Winery in Hungary’s Eger wine region laid the cornerstone of a HUF 1.5 billion wine production center in Egerszalók on Friday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
The center will use hyper-reduction technology, and contains a laboratory as well as an electro-pneumatic bottling line and high-capacity labelling line, MTI reports. It will also boast a 3,000 square-meter warehouse, and an office doubling as a presentation area. The center is expected to be completed within two years.
Last year, Juhász Brothers said, they sold 2 million bottles of wine, generating revenue of HUF 1.5 bln. Exports reportedly made up about 10% of sales. This year, the winery says it aims to sell 2.5 million bottles of wine.
